Known globally as one of the most important and influential working American Menswear designers, Alexandre Plokhov began his fashion career in the late nineties as a custom tailor and pattern maker for Marc Jacobs. In 1999, he founded Cloak, an avant-garde New York based label that amassed a loyal cult following. It was stocked in top retailers worldwide during its seven-year history. During that time, Plokhov won both a CFDA Swarovski Perry Ellis Award and CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Award, solidifying his standing as one of the most respected and gifted designers in the industry. Launched in 2017, NOMENKLATURA STUDIO is Plokhov's new menswear project whose goal is to synthesize combat uniforms and equipment into contemporary sportswear.
